Grant's First Movie
Grant sat for the entire movie, an hour and a half, mesmerized and full of popcorn. His older brother did not stay seated. Sye had to have his picture made in front of the Green Lantern sign and Grant played along. They actually saw Kung Fu Panda 2. Very cute.

Grant's 2nd birthday
Grant had a fun, family birthday. Sye's end of the year school program and last TBall game took up a lot of the day. But he had cake and cookies and presents and most fun of all, his Gigi came to town!

TBall
Sye started playing Tball at the recreation department. The "Hooks" play every Tuesday and Friday nights. He is learning the ropes and having lots of fun. They each get to bat twice a game. The coach pitches three and if they don't make contact, they set the tee up for them. At his second game, he actually hit a pitched ball!! He is still not completely sure what to do next, but the coaches help him and makes it around the bases. It's been a lot of fun watching him dig in the dirt and make friends.

Tyler and Caleb Visit!
Tyler and Caleb came for the weekend during their Spring Break. It was April Fool's Day and we had a ball pranking each other. The best one was Uncle David and a butter trick by Tyler. We went to the Aquarium and the movies to see Hop. And even took a little trip to the doctor's office. Caleb got 4 stitches and was very, very brave. We had a great weekend.

Lake Tahoe Trip
Dave and I took a trip to Tahoe in February with Matt and Amie. We skied, enjoyed the beautiful scenery, did a little gambling and even spent an afternoon with the Kurtz sisters. The weather got a little crazy, with 60 mph winds on parts of the mountain, so our skiing was cut a little short. I never really got my ski legs back but David was, of course, a pro. We drove around the lake and saw some really picturesque views. On our last day, we went to the restaurant my friend, Laura, manages to see her and Sarah. We were able to see her house and a great little area of Tahoe (name has escaped me). It was pretty warm while we were there, until the morning of our departure when we got a foot of snow overnight. Matt drove us through the blizzard to Sacramento which was pretty frightening. The boys were with Gigi and Papa and had an equally fun 5 days!

Walker is here!
Chris and Melissa welcomed Brent Walker Simmons on March 9th. He was 9 and 1/2 lbs and 23 inches long!! And gorgeous!

Christmas Eve 2010
We all spent Christmas Eve with Nana and Grandpa and the uncles, having dinner and dancing to Christmas music. Nana even allowed the boys to open a few presents early. We got home just in time to put out cookies and milk and get to bed before Santa came. As you can see, Grant helped Santa with his snack.

Trip to Cincinnati to see the Groupers
Right before Thanksgiving, we took a road trip to visit the Cofers. On Saturday, we all went to the Cincinnati zoo. It was the boys' first trip to any zoo. We were in good company, b/c the Cofers are seasoned vets! The rest of the time was spent hanging around the house catching up with our dear friends and exposing the boys to all things princess. It was a very short trip but super fun!
